
These classes are suitable for all levels of experience. Most people meditate sitting on chairs but cushions are also available if you prefer to sit on the floor.
There is no need to book – everyone is welcome to drop in to any class.

These introductory classes begin with a simple guided meditation to reduce stress, tension and distractions. This is followed by a short teaching on how to apply Buddhist principles to daily life, followed by a second meditation and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss with others.
After the class you are welcome to stay for refreshments and informal discussion.
You don’t need any previous experience to attend these classes. Also, you don’t need to pre-register. All you need to do is choose a class and come along!
From 1st May some of our classes will be available to join online via Zoom.

These Classes include two guided meditations and a teaching from The New Meditation Handbook by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. This book is a practical guide to Kadampa Buddhist meditation revealing how to make ourselves and others happy by developing inner peace, and in this way make our lives more meaningful.
Come and feel uplifted not just by the class but also by the company and the beautiful meditation room.

Including a short teaching, guided meditations and inspiring prayers, this monthly class is a way to make a positive contribution to the world.
