Classes at Atisha KMC

These classes are suitable for all levels of experience. Most people meditate sitting on chairs but cushions are also available if you prefer to sit on the floor.
There is no need to book – everyone is welcome to drop in to any class.

Our Tuesday evening classes are also available via live-stream – see below for details.

Get in touch if you have any questions at all.

These introductory classes begin with a simple guided meditation to reduce stress, tension and distractions. This is followed by a short teaching on how to apply Buddhist principles to daily life, followed by a second meditation and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss with others.

After the class you are welcome to stay for refreshments and informal discussion.

You don’t need any previous experience to attend these classes. Also, you don’t need to pre-register. All you need to do is choose a class and come along!

Our Tuesday evening classes are live-streamed for our local monthly members.

Information about our monthly membership schemes can be found here

Classes based on the book Modern Buddhism – the path of compassion and wisdom.

“The instructions given in this book are scientific methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind.” Modern Buddhism – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

This book reveals how to build a foundation for the spiritual path, how to progress on that path and how to complete it. With compassion and wisdom we can solve all our daily problems and accomplish the real meaning of our human life, and like two wings of a bird they will enable us to reach enlightenment quickly.

An inspiring handbook of daily practice that is perfectly suited for those seeking solutions within Buddhism, as well as for encouraging practitioners of all faiths to deepen their understanding and practice of the spiritual path.
