International Festival in Brazil
Everyone is invited to the 2010 International Festival in Brazil. It is a joyous occassion where thousands of Buddhists from around the world gather to receive teachings, inspiration and guidance.
Open to all – Buddhist, non-Buddhist, newcomers and families – everyone benefits from the practical advice on how to apply Buddha’s teachings to everyday situations.
The Festival is being held in the beautiful and magnificent newly-constructed Kadampa Buddhist Temple. This is the largest Kadampa Buddhist Temple that follows the design made by Venerable Geshe Kelsang.
The Festival also gives us the opportunity to receive the commentary to
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s new book, Modern Buddhism.
The friendly atmosphere of the festival and methods to solve daily problems provide a great peace and happiness that will last a lifetime.
All proceeds from the festivals are donated to the International Temples Project, a charity with the aim to introduce the Buddhist faith of the New Kadampa Tradition publicly and in particular to exemplify pure Buddhist practice through public service. Any money spent at the festival is like a donation to this charity.
You are welcome to go to any part of the festival. Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
